OUR STORY
Stockholm Catering was founded in 2008 by three generations of the Engström & Smålänning families. We established our kitchen in the heart of Årsta Partihallar — close to the ingredients and close to the pulse of Stockholm.
Anders Engström, who leads the business today, has a long background in the restaurant and events industry. Together with co-owners Daniel Smålänning and Andreas Norrman — both with the company since day one — they have built Stockholm Catering into one of the city's most trusted catering names.
Anders' father, Bert Engström — a former long-haul driver — made his last deliveries for the company at the age of 82. That says something about how we view work, community, and pride. More recently, Anders' son Niklas Smålänning has also joined the business. There is something special about working alongside family.
Today we are three owners: Anders, Daniel, and Andreas — and a dedicated team who share the same passion for food and people.

Finding the best seasonal ingredients and preparing and presenting them in the finest possible way — that is what we live for. That is why we are based at Årsta Partihallar, with direct access to Stockholm's best suppliers and the freshest produce available.
Our kitchen at Fiskhallsvägen 18 is where the magic happens — a large, professional space where our team prepares everything from scratch, every day.

OUR TEAM
Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, but what unites us is a deep interest in food and people. The commitment is shared — we always want to deliver the best possible result.
You will most often find us in our large kitchen at Fiskhallsvägen 18 in Årsta Partihallar. Our team is important to us. In our industry, that means having order and structure — which is why we have had a collective agreement for many years.
We work in a structured way with our finances and have maintained an AAA credit rating for many years — giving our clients confidence and security from the first enquiry to the final delivery.

With a long background in the restaurant and events industry, Anders has led Stockholm Catering since its founding in 2008.

Daniel has been with the company since day one, overseeing operations and ensuring every event runs seamlessly.

Stockholm Catering is certified according to ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 9001 (quality management). This is a level of quality and environmental work that very few operators in the catering industry can demonstrate.
For our clients, this means security, structure, and accountability — from planning through to delivery.
We also commit to giving back: each year we set aside one percent of our turnover for sponsorship — supporting Sundbybergs IK Fotboll, shelters, and social organisations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we donated food to Södersjukhuset and the emergency hospital built by the Swedish Armed Forces in Älvsjö.
